14 ½ hours to go ... 9:30 pm and I'm putting the final touches to the weekend's presentations. Alison, Catherine, Shirley and Ailsa spent hours in the hall today putting up all the photos that have been submitted telling the story of our last 50 years. That's right, 50 years - we figure if you want to know about the first 50 you can read the jubilee book!
The centenary booklet is back from the printer. It looks fantastic. If you haven't ordered a copy yet, they are $5 each. Well worth the investment. Back to work for me now. See you at the Mix and Mingle tomorrow afternoon, 12:30pm.

The countdown clock on our Home page is telling me that there are only 15 days 3 hours and 45 minutes until we open the doors for our first centenary event. So much has been done over the past year in preparation for this special weekend but I am fighting the panic as I think of all that still needs to be done. The final draft of the booklet is just about ready to send to the printers. Alison and Catherine have done a wonderful job editing and contributing to this book. Ailsa and her daughter, Lynette, have been busy creating a new banner for hanging inside the church and I have been sifting through hundreds of photos submitted for our visual display of the past 50 years.
Next Saturday morning we are holding a working bee down at the church to spruce the place up in time for the following week's celebrations. Join us if you can. Give as much or as little time as you can spare ... many hands make light work. By the way, I'm not really panicking - It's all under control! We'll get there and it will be fun! |
