StAND Youth spent last Sunday night at Tamaki College in Glen Innes, where Rev. Gary was invited to speak at the schools' Leadership Camp. It's always great to see our young people out and about in fellowship with the wider community!
It was an awesome day yesterday at the Church Gala, and an excellent start to the fundraising efforts for 2017!
A huge thank you Jan and Violet and the organising team, to every stall holder and their efforts, but especially to our Parishioners and wider community for supporting what turned out to be an awesome event! Thank you also to Rev. Fei Taulealeausumai-Davis, Rev. So'osemea Faatui and Alice, and Rev. Fieta Faitala and Henderson PIPC for your support as well. Always good to see you! God bless you tenfold for the money you have given us in support! (and thank you Suliana for these photos!) Polyfest is done for another year! Well done to our young people who were involved this year:
Rebecca - Rutherford College African Group Shaunavon - Henderson High Samoan Group Keana - Waitakere College Samoan Group (3rd place Entrance & Distinction Award) AJ Sagaga & Jordan Vaifale - Kelston Boys Samoan Group (2nd place overall, 1st place Manaia (Jordan), 3rd place Senior Samoan Speech competition (AJ)). Alby - Tamaki College Samoan Group (2nd place fuataimi, 3rd place autu or main song). A lot of hard work goes in to each performance and you can rest now knowing that you've given it your all! Glory to God for sharing your talents on stage! Performing with the Rutherford College African Group on the Diversity Stage at the Auckland Secondary Schools Competition next week is our very own Rebecca! Watch footage from the dress rehearsal night below. That was awesome, Rebecca! Keep it up and go hard next week! |
